Privacy Policy
How TryRapVideo handles account information, creative content, support requests, and cookies.

Who we are
TryRapVideo is an independent creative project operated by an individual at tryrapvideo.com. In this policy, “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the individual operating TryRapVideo. For privacy questions and requests, email support@tryrapvideo.com.
This policy describes our website and any features we make available through it. It does not describe the separate websites or services of payment providers or other external links.
Current generation features
TryRapVideo is in public beta. Signed-in users can submit photo-and-text or text-only rap video requests, follow their progress, and download completed videos from their private library. Starter, Creator and Pro subscriptions are available with monthly or annual billing through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. Credits are issued monthly after payment confirmation, including on annual plans. Manage billing and cancel renewal from account settings. Generation time and creative results vary. Review every completed video before sharing; example concepts are not guarantees of an identical result.
Selecting a photo or editing a draft in the creation workspace is local to your browser. When you submit a generation request, your selected photos, prompt or lyrics, settings, and task information are sent to our servers. The service stores submitted content and generated media and sends the inputs needed for generation to AI service providers. A completed video is private by default; you can create a share link and revoke it later. Selecting or submitting a photo does not authorize us to publish it as a promotional example.
Ordinary website requests, such as fetching example images, and information you separately submit through an account or contact form also reach our services. Paid subscriptions are available through Stripe Checkout. When you subscribe or manage billing, the information needed for the transaction is processed by TryRapVideo and Stripe as described below.
Information we collect
- Account information. If you use the available account features, we receive information such as your email address, name, profile image, sign-in method, and authentication records. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive the profile information authorized by that provider. Password authentication, when offered, uses authentication records rather than storing a readable password.
- Support messages. When you email us or submit our contact form, we receive the information you provide, such as your name, email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send.
- Generation content. When you submit a request, we process your photos, prompt or lyrics, generation settings, generated images and videos, task status, and credit records to execute and deliver the result.
- Website and security information. Our hosting, authentication, and security services may process IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, page requests, and technical or error logs to deliver and protect the website.
- Transaction information. For subscriptions, we send Stripe the account email, account identifier, selected plan, and information needed to create and manage checkout. We receive payment and customer identifiers, subscription status, the purchased plan and billing interval, amounts, currency, and relevant billing information. We store payment references, subscription and billing-period records, and credit transactions needed to manage your subscription. Stripe collects payment credentials directly; our application does not store full card numbers or card security codes.
Please do not send passwords, full payment card details, government identification documents, or other unnecessary sensitive information in a support request.
How we use information
We use information to operate the website, authenticate accounts, respond to support and rights requests, maintain security, investigate errors or misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations. We use transaction records to confirm purchases, issue subscription credits, and administer renewals, billing, cancellations, refunds, and disputes.
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, our processing may rely on performing a contract or responding to your request, legitimate interests in maintaining and securing our service, compliance with legal obligations, or consent for processing that requires it. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Service providers and sharing
We use service providers for hosting, databases, authentication, email delivery, security, and AI generation. Cloudflare provides hosting, workflows, and media storage; APIMart processes the generation inputs needed to provide AI image and video results. Our contact and account email delivery uses Resend, and an external sign-in provider processes a sign-in you choose to use. These services receive information needed for their role.
Stripe processes current subscription payments and provides the hosted checkout and customer billing portal. It processes payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. We use Stripe's payment and subscription notifications to confirm payments, deliver credits, and keep account billing status up to date. An earlier transaction may identify a different provider in its original checkout or receipt; that provider's applicable privacy notice also applies to its processing.
We may disclose information to comply with a lawful request, protect legal rights and security, or investigate suspected fraud or abuse. We do not sell your photos, lyrics, or support messages. Submitting a generation request involves processing by AI service providers under their applicable terms; do not treat local photo selection as a promise that submitted content never reaches those providers. Contact us with questions about provider processing before submitting sensitive material.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small records stored by your browser. The website uses cookies or browser storage where needed for account sessions, authentication security, preferences such as appearance or language, saved creation drafts, and associating a return from checkout with the correct payment attempt. Payment and sign-in providers may use their own technologies when you interact with them.
Optional analytics, if enabled on the website, may process page visits, device information, and identifiers to help understand usage. The information processed depends on the analytics service in use. You can ask us which services are active by emailing support@tryrapvideo.com. This policy does not replace any consent required by applicable law.
We also use a first-party signup_source cookie for up to 30 days to associate the first observed visit with a new account registration. It stores limited campaign tags and the referring site's domain, without the full referring URL, search terms, or video share tokens. This registration-source capture respects browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals. Missing referral information may appear as direct or unknown traffic.
You can review, block, or clear cookies and site storage through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies can prevent sign-in or other requested features from working. Clearing browser storage does not delete information already held in account, support, or transaction records. To request deletion of those records, contact us.
Retention and deletion
We keep account information while it is needed to provide and secure the account. We retain support correspondence as needed to answer requests and resolve related issues, and may retain security or transaction records for legal, accounting, fraud prevention, or dispute purposes. Retention depends on the type of record and the reason for keeping it; we do not promise a fixed deletion time for all records.
Generated videos have a 90-day retention period. Expired videos are subject to scheduled cleanup; submitted photos, generation inputs, task records, and credit records may remain while needed for the operational and dispute purposes above. Revoking a share link stops access through that link but does not erase copies already downloaded by recipients. Download videos you want to keep; the library is not a permanent archive or backup service.
You can use account deletion controls where available or email us to request deletion. Some records may need to be retained for the reasons above, and backup copies may remain until their normal replacement cycle.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, object to or restrict processing, or withdraw consent. Contact support@tryrapvideo.com with enough information to identify your account and request. We may need to verify that the request comes from you. You may also complain to your local data protection authority where applicable.
International processing and security
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where legally required, appropriate transfer safeguards must apply. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Age requirements
TryRapVideo is intended for adults aged 18 or older. Do not submit photos of minors. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
